At 16 years of age, James Brampton was institutionalised, with his file marked ‘never to be released back into community’. But in 2016, at the age of 36, he was let loose with an appetite for cruelty. He couldn’t wait to cut the flesh of a human whilst alive. And it wasn’t long before his mutilation and murder of 18 and 19 year old girls began. Superintendent Marshall Bellows – a handsome 40 year old with an excellent policing track record – is assigned the case. His detective instinct soon leads him to the buried bodies. But something doesn’t feel right about the crime scene, especially the most recent victim, Abby Holmes. The coroner’s report shows that she was buried in 1956, despite her DNA matching that of the victim killed only weeks ago. Marshall soon finds himself drawn, literally, into the past, as he sets to finding the killer and changing the events of the future.

Colton Lee Steele was born and raised in the Australian outback during the 1970s and lived there with his Dad, two brothers and Aunt Patsy, who kept them all in order.
His Dad taught him how to fly a plane as a youngster and from that day on he was hooked. So, no surprise then that he chose aviation as his career – working as a pilot running people and supplies from Christchurch to McMurdo Station in Antarctica.
A freak accident resulted in Colton being placed into an induced coma – two days later a cosmic cloud collides with the Earth. It is due to pure dumb luck and a breathing tube shoved down his throat that he is still alive.
